Erik Sampson received his formal education at Belhaven University, in Jackson, MS where he was the recipient of the Bezalel Award for outstanding artistic achievement and graduated with a Bachelors Degree of Fine Art in Dance. Erik’s education also includes training programs at the American Ballet Theater and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. In 2012, Erik took part in a collaboration between Belhaven University and the Dong Ah Institute for Media Arts, in Seoul Korea, focusing on the genre of dance for film. After his time in Korea, Erik moved to Houston, TX for a two year contract with Uptown Dance Company. While living in Houston Erik also served as an instructor, choreographer and artistic consultant for several schools and companies. Currently, Erik is a resident of Denver, CO and is both assistant to the creative arts director of Summit Education Group and faculty member with the Immersion Schools for Sciences, Technology and the Arts.
